Nexiq 1 or Nexiq 2?
Nexiq 1 will be discontinued. No more updates, but it will still work fine for most people. NEXIQ 2 is the current model and has more future potential than what the Nexiq 1 could do. The cables for each are different, so they are not interchangeable. When ordering, you should make sure that you get 3 different cables. The standard 6/9 pin Y cable with the green connector on the 9 pin connector to allow you to communicate with the newer 500k baud network. How to Find Nissan Black BCM List

This is a Qashqai 2017 BCM code. How can I be sure that it doesn’t have 1 of those dangerous BCM?

Check the bcm number against the list.
These BCMs are in black list. BCMs that carry a risk include:

Nissan has a high failure rate with these BCMs when trying to program keys for Qashqai / X-Trail / Rogue 12-16. Better walk away otherwise you need to replace the bcm with new one if get it bricked.
Except from the Nissan technical bulletin – If the last two digits of the BCM reference end in 0A 1A 2A 3A 4A, it may not be possible to encode the keys. 5A or more are all OK.
You can find the Nissan BCM black list directly on Autel/OBDSTAR/Lonsdor/SmartPro etc device.
